A very important component to success in the biology classroom is to have the skills necessary for taking good notes. To improve your ability to do well on tests and in the lab, take the time to follow a few simple suggestions.

SUGGESTED NOTE TAKING IDEAS:

1. Write as neatly as you can, without going too slow.
2. Always date your notes each day.
3. Write down the goal of the day.
4. "Do Now" activities should be done in this section.
5. Title each new chapter and all sections.
6. Leave some space between sections to add extra information.
7. Number each page at the bottom.
8. All handouts should be inserted as you go.
