From time to time we will be doing work in small groups or "teams". Most of the time you will work with your surrounding neighbors in a "home team", however, certain activities will require you to form different teams with other classmates. Group work can be fun and and an effective way to learn, provided it is done correctly. Therefore, it is best if we follow these simple rules while doing group activities.
FOR ALL GROUP WORK:
1. Get into groups as quickly and quietly as possible.
2. Sit as close together as you can, as long as you are comfortable.
3. Keep up with the pace of the class, don’t work ahead.
4. Do not switch partners unless you are told to do so by me.
5. Group work is a time to work, not a time to socialize.
6. Contribute your share of the work, try not to let your team down.
7. Stop talking and pay attention when I signal the class.
